Werfen has long attracted my attention with its castle and the Werfen ice cave Eisriesenwelt. On my first journey in Austria, I prefered an ice cave in Dachstein. But I always doubted – what if the cave in Werfen is more interesting? Now I can say that the choice was correct. Not because it is not interesting in Werfen, but because the visit is made with too much effort.
Harz mountains. Wernigerode old town
A 19th-century German writer called Wernigerode the colorful town on the Harz Mountains. And it really is. The old town has been renovated and it is very pleasant to walk around here. In my opinion, Wernigerode is the nicest town in the Harz Mountains.

Luneburg Heath
Bibione resort. 1. Beach, how to get, public transport
Bibione resort is especially popular with the residents of Germany – it is inexpensive and easier to get to than to other resorts. After all, a nightmare road through Innsbruck, Fernpass and the Brenner Autobahn can enter the book of records for the number of time wasted in traffic jams and the number of irreversibly lost nerve cells. But the road through the A10 is still not so busy.
Brittany. Paimpol. Côte de Goelo
The last day in Brittany was disgusting. The weather didn’t just turn bad. Cold, if not frosty, june morning began with thick fog combined with light rain. But sitting in the same bottle, that is, in the house, with a little genie was not possible. So we set off towards Paimpol and the island of Brehat in the hope that the weather will improve.
On the way, we stopped at Pontrieux and the Roche-Jagu castle. This part of Brittany left the impression of being wild and more authentic than the nearby resorts of the Pink Granite Coast. Although, perhaps, the weather is to blame for this.
In this post all interesting, what you can visit around Paimpol.
Bibione accomodation, shops, entertainment
This post is about Bibione accommodation and entertainment, we look at the Bibione map and where to find the shops. In the first part, read about roads and public transport, beaches and the pros and cons of the resort as a whole.
Harz. 2. Brocken, Wurmberg
Harz is a wooded mountain massif, the highest in northern Germany. The origin of the name is connected with the Old German word meaning “wooded mountains”. Which is quite correct – the mountains are very wooded, covered mainly with firry forests. True, the forests have suffered greatly over the past five years. But foresters are hoping for self-recovery.
In this part about Brocken and the steam railway, as well as about the neighboring mountain Wurmberg.
