Chiemsee. Nearest mountains – Kampenwand
The first part is about the lake and its two islands – Herren and Frauen. Now let’s see what is in the area.
The nearest high mountains Kampenwand are just a stone’s throw from the lake. This is one of the few lucky places that combine the interests of water lovers and mountain lovers.
Baden-Baden rose garden
Baden-Baden rose garden is called Rosenneuheitengarten – that is, rose’s novelties.
There is a garden above the Kurpark – straight from the Kurpark along the street, a rather steep climb. It is very difficult to get there by car along some strange narrow road. There is probably some more “human” road there, but newcomers to this city will have a lot of emotions trying to get to the garden and parks. You can park along the street near the garden, although this is not indicated anywhere. However, there are a lot of people who wish, and free places fly away immediately.
Goslar. Rammelsberg
The Goslar Rammelsberg mine, which fed the Goslar people for centuries, is still used today, but not for the mining of silver or iron, but for the mining of tourists.
The Rammelsberg mine has been in operation for a thousand years, from 968 to 1988.
Cuxhaven Döse and Duhnen
In the previous topic, it was said about what is to the right of Kugelbake, now let’s go left – to Döse and Duhnen. The Elbe already ends here, this is the coast of the North Sea.
And the further we move from the center and the Elbe, the watt is more pleasant, the water is cleaner, the coast is not so littered with algae, bird feathers and small jellyfish. Apparently, the proximity of the fairway near Kugelbake allows all these pieces to get to the coast.
Cuxhaven Sahlenburg
Sahlenburg is a tourist village, a bit away from Cuxhaven in the direction of Bremerhaven. It did not extend along the sea, but perpendicular to it. Even in the high season it is easier to find accommodation here, there is also a large camping. This area is “pure nature”: clean beach, pine forest, moorland. As well as its outdoor pool, several riding stables and a rope park.
From here it is only about 10 km to the island of Neuwerk (on foot or by carriage).
Stuttgart zoo Wilhelma. Flowers
The zoo-botanical garden, unique in Germany, was built in Stuttgart in the middle of the 19th century for King William (Wilhelm) 1 of Württemberg. Therefore the name Wilhelma. About 9000 thousand animals are represented. Greenhouses are open to the public: among the most important are collections of orchids, magnolias (March), camellias (winter).
It would seem that over the years we have studied Wilhelma inside and out. And nevertheless, each visit brings at least small, but discoveries.

Castle Road. 3. From Sinsheim to Rothenburg ob der Tauber
From this section, the Castle Road leaves the Neckar valley and runs parallel to the A6 autobahn towards Nuremberg. The three main attractions along this stretch are Sinsheim, Schwäbisch Hall and Rothenburg ob der Tauber. Along the way, there are also a few small unknown places worth a visit.
Harz. 5. Thale, children program in Harz
Thale is a town in the middle between Blankenburg and Quedlinburg, but closer to the mountains. It is located at the point where the Bode River leaves the narrow gorge to head for Quedlinburg.
You need to come to Thale not for city historical walks, but for outdoor recreation and sports entertainment. Depending on your plans, this could be a half day trip or a full day trip.
