Black Forest what to see in the middle part from Gengenbach to Waldkirch. This is a heart of Black Forest, with the most interesting sights.

North Black Forest. What to see map
Sights of the North Black Forest on the map. There are mainly resort and semi-resort towns with thermal pools, relatively low (compared to the High Black Forest), but rather steep hills.
90+ parks and gardens in Germany on the map
In France, there is a special website that lists all available gardens and parks, down to the smallest amateur ones. It can be difficult to assess the level of the garden there. In Germany, there is no such site, and finding gardens and parks is not so easy: gardening farms will come up with a search.
In this topic I collect German gardens, parks and flower fields that I know. Gardens at palaces, if they are important as an independent unit, are also indicated.
Swabian Alb map
On the Swabian Alb map there are cities and sights below Stuttgart (Stuttgart and surroundings have own map) up to Lake Constance.
Weinheim Old town
Weinheim is located in a densely populated strip along the Rhine from Mannheim to Frankfurt. Two autobahns, industrial areas along them, the Mannheim – Heidelberg – Weinheim circular tram – having traveled back and forth to Frankfurt and Mannheim, I never imagined that such a cozy town could be hidden at the foot of the mountains.
Extensive green belt around the old town – Hermannshof Garten, turning into the city park and Exotenwald – makes the visit especially lovely. The picture is complemented by two castles: the picturesque ruins of the 11th century and a fresh one from the 20th century, in the style of historicism.
Sankt-Gallen
The Swiss coast of Lake Constance has fewer attractions and is more boring than the German one. The most worthy object to visit is just Sankt-Gallen, apart from the Stein-am-Rhein and the Rhine Falls, which are actually on the Rhine, and not on the lake. Although from the other end of the lake I would not go for him alone.
The city is located in the hills behind the lake, 15-20 minutes by train from the nearest coastal town of Rorschach. There is absolutely nothing to watch in Rorschach. Its main attractions are the ferry to Lindau and the funicular to the nearest mountain.
Stein am Rhein
Not far from the place where the Rhine flows out of the lake is the town of Stein am Rhein. The town is very small, but very visited, thanks to the large number of painted old houses with bay windows. You can get there by train and boat.
Rhine Falls
The Rhine Falls is an absolutely stunning sight, mainly with the amount of raging water rushing right on you.
It is highly recommended to visit it at unpopular times – early in the morning, in bad weather, etc. You understand, the sight is stunning, the observation platforms are small, the stairs are narrow and slippery, and then there are groups with cameras in a crowd… The first time we were at the waterfall in the pouring rain. But still we had to wait five minutes to take a picture.
